More than 600 men and women will not be home for Christmas this year — instead, they’ll spend the holiday in the Onondaga County Justice Center awaiting trial. To remember those incarcerated during the holiday season, Jail Ministry participants prepare gift packages with simple items: an apple, candy, a card for mailing, socks, pencil and paper, popcorn or cookies. Donations are needed to help complete the holiday gift packages.
Monetary donations as well as items from the acceptable gift list are welcome; call 492-9373 or 426-1839 for more information and the list of allowable items.
