By taking every point on the doubles side, the Chittenango girls tennis team claimed its opener on Thursday afternoon, beating Homer 5-2. That doubles domination started with Erin and Megan McPeak teaming up to beat Micala Hammond and Rachel Perry 6-1, 6-4, and continued when Tanya Cziesler and Brandyn McDermott earned a 6-3, 6-3 sweep of Kendra Brown and Michelle Spencer. Also in two sets, Katie Natke and Rose Thresh handled Laura Dart and Danielle Howell 7-6 (7-2), 6-2. Elisabeth Posthill and Kaleigh Koegel defeated Cayla Hartnett and Molly Gray 6-3, 6-1. Up in singles, Homer won two of three matches, with Ami Petosa and Sierra Slight taking defeats. But Shelby Bogle got past Lizzy Kniffin 6-2, 7-5.
