d. 551. While Burtch and his fellow petition-carriers collected a total of 628 signatures, Town Clerk Dina Falcone said 551 of the signatures were valid. The petitioners needed a minimum of 377 signatures for the referendum to go through. Voters turned down the proposal, but the town intends to fund the construction of the spray park through grants, fundraising and the in-lieu-of-parks account.
The town and village signed an agreement to annex Lysander Park into the village so the park will fall under the jurisdiction of the Baldwinsville Police Department and can hook into the village’s sewer system.
