Rosemary (Dudzinski) Corl, 74, of Cicero, passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, after an extended illness with her loving husband by her side.
Rosemary was born on Aug. 5, 1942 to the late John and Rose Dudzinski, and graduated from Cicero High School in 1960. During high school she worked at Williams Groceries and upon graduation was an administrative assistant at Carrier Corporation before marrying James Corl, Sr., and starting her family.
A loving, proud and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rosemary’s greatest joy was spending time with family and she also enjoyed shopping, family camping vacations in the Adirondacks and travel to many countries including Italy, Poland, Germany, Spain, France and Thailand to name a few. While living overseas she loved bowling in a couple’s league with her husband and playing Mahjong with her friends. Upon returning to Cicero she enjoyed golfing, spending time by the pool in the summers with her grandchildren and cooking that included making homemade raviolis for Christmas dinner, which is a family favorite.
Rosemary is survived by her husband James (Jim); daughters Jaqueline LaVeck (William) and Roxanne Trew (Paul); son James Corl, Jr. (Amy), all of Cicero; brother John Dudzinski, Jr (Kathleen) of Ardsley, N.Y.; sister Theresa Dudzinski (Denise Broton) of Cicero; grandchildren Robert (Nicole) LaVeck, James Corl, III, Jonathan Corl, Elizabeth Corl, Edward Trew; great-grandson Robert LaVeck, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 State Route 31, Bridgeport, N.Y. Funeral mass: 10 a.m. on Nov. 15 at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero, with the burial following at North Syracuse Cemetery.
