Tough weather, and different surroundings, brought the scores of the Fayetteville-Manlius girls golf team up a bit — but not enough to change much in terms of the results. The Hornets still beat Central Square 190-239 last Wednesday at Greenview behind Alex Seabury’s wind-swept round of 43. Maria Mintskovsky put together a 48 as Meghan Kingsley added a 49 and Sara Simons shot a 50. A day later, the Hornets returned to Butternut Creek to clash with 4-1 Auburn and, once again, came out on top, beating the Maroons 145-160. Seabury posted a 32, four shots ahead of Auburn’s top player, Larissa Carter, who had a 36. In support, Kingsley had a 37 as the Maroons’ Taylor Turkett shot a 39. When it returned to action last Monday, Christian Brothers Academy dominated its three-way match with Skaneateles and Chittenango at Woodcrest, shooting 169 to the Lakers’ 214 and the Bears’ 232. Mary Fletcher and Elisabeth Webber led the way again, each shooting 40 for nine holes. Then came a head-to-head meeting between CBA and Jamesville-DeWitt on Wednesday afternoon, and the Brothers again came out on top 200-210 at Lafayette Hills. Fletcher braved the wind to shoot a 46, three shots ahead of Emilee Oakes, as Chelsea Parkes contributed a 51. Lindsay Sherling led J-D with a 51 as Molly Hair added a 53. Not stopping there, CBA ripped Westhill 169-207 Thursday at Drumlins, with Fletcher matching par as she shot 35, while Webber posted a 44. East Syracuse-Minoa also played at Woodcrest, shooting 236 behind Cazenovia (230) and Marcellus (233) in a close match where Kristina Hartung and Maida Brankovic led the Spartans, each posting totals of 56. Then the Spartans won the rematch with Cazenovia 258-260, with Erin Marcy shooting a 59 to lead the way. J-D beat Cazenovia 225-246 on Tuesday at LaFayette Hills, with Kara Capstraw shooting a 49 to lead the Red Rams’ efforts.
