The Cicero-North Syracuse track and field teams swept Henninger 136-5 on the boys side and 103-29 on the girls side in competing CNY Counties League National division meets on Wednesday afternoon. In the boys meet, Eric Munoz won three times, following the 400 sprint (52.6 seconds) with a top triple jump of 38 feet 3 inches and first-place long jump of 18 feet 11 3/4 inches. Chris Buchanan won both the mile (5:13.3) and 3,200-meter run (11:45.7), while Carl Patzer, second in the long jump, cleared 6 feet 2 inches to beat Andrew Johnson in the high jump. Johnson would claim the 200-meter dash in 23.8 seconds. Elsewhere, Jared Thomson won the shot put (46 feet 7 inches), but his 116-foot discus toss landed him behind Cameron Doray’s toss of 118 feet 8 inches. Sam Nassar won the 400 hurdles (1:05.2), edging Mike Kavanagh as Ryan Connor ran the 100-meter dash in 11.1 seconds. Jared Walther took the 800-meter run (2:11.6) as Brendan Ryan cleared 11 feet 6 inches in the pole vault. CNS also swept the 4×100 (45.7 seconds), 4×400 (3:52 flat) and 4×800 (10:02.6) relays as Johnson, Connor, Walther, Kavanagh, Dan Fritz, Steve Rathbun, Ken Ryan, Brian Linsky, Shayne Mitchell, Chris Ponrios and Mark Broughton all took part. Meanwhile, in the girls meet, Jasmine Thompson went 34 feet 6 inches in the triple jump and won the long jump, too, going 14 feet 11 inches. Katie Osborne won the 100-meter hurdles (15.9 seconds) and cleared 4 feet 8 inches in the high jump. Other titles went to Taylor Wendler (800, 2:28), Maria Lamontagne (1,500, 5:01.1), Jackie Halstead (11:41.0), Valerie Langevin (discus, 98 feet 2 inches), Jessica Wheeler (400 hurdles, 1:14.7), Maria Thomson (shot put, 34 feet 4 inches) and Nicole Campagna (400 meters, 1:03.9). The winning 4×100 (53.0 seconds), 4×400 (4:32.0) and 4×800 (10:28) sides included Campagna, Wendler, Osborne, Wheeler, Marissa Colburn, Nicole Watterud, Shannon Bausinger, Shelby Howell, Brittany Murphy, Danielle Ford and Katie Laris.
