The Chittenango girls lacrosse team made it 4-2 during last Monday’s game against Fulton, ignoring its short rest and putting together a 13-7 victory over the Red Raiders. To accommodate for the April school break, both sides moved up the game from Saturday, meaning Chittenango had just one rest day following its 10-4 defeat to East Syracuse-Minoa on April 10. Strong defense in the first half put the Bears in charge against Fulton, as it held the visitors to just two goals while building a sizable lead. All through the second half, Chittenango nursed that margin, answering every Red Raider push. Jenna Barber again led the way, scoring five times and adding two assists. Shannen Sweeney had two goals and two assists, while Katie Putnam and Kaitlin Antelmi each matched that two-goal output, Putnam adding an assist. Colleen Regan produced a team-best three assists as Hillary Courtwright and Carley Forman earned single goals. Jocelyn Nowak finished with five saves.
