Baldwinsville’s ice hockey team always gets satisfaction from knocking off its neighbors from Liverpool. But the real fun comes when the outcome is one-sided, as it was Wednesday night when the Bees flattened the Warriors 10-0 right on Liverpool’s home ice at State Fair Coliseum. This was the first time B’ville had played since its 4-0 home loss to state no. 1-ranked West Genesee on Jan. 15. It had five days to boil about that result before taking out frustrations on Liverpool, a team it only beat 3-0 back on Dec. 8 — and all those goals were in the third period. The results came quickly in the rematch with the Warriors. B’ville had a 5-0 lead by the end of the first period and doubled the margin by night’s end, accumulating all this in just 38 shots. In all, eight different Bees scored, as Justin Newman and Connor Bertrand were the lone players to find the net twice. Brad Burlingame backed up his lone goal with three assists as Mike McElwain, Sam Lane, Brett Earle, Ryan Scott and Griffin Noffey also took turns getting goals. Kevin Cullen joined Burlingame with three assists as Parker Ferrigan got two assists. John Waldon, Paul Schneid and Jeff Abbott earned single assists.
