The bill for the Jordan-Elbridge LT2 water filtration project was chopped nearly in half yesterday with the announcement of a $600,000 grant towards shared services that was awarded to the community. The State Department of State announced Wednesday Dec. 30 that the town of Elbridge and villages of Elbridge and Jordan would receive the funds to help meet new water filtration standards, which would require the municipalities to construct a $1 million ultraviolet filtering system.
