Finding success once more, the Baldwinsville wrestling team improved to 4-0 on the season Wednesday night, pounding the Auburn Maroons 61-12. Four times, the Bees claimed forfeits, so Joey Shaheen (103 pounds), Jabr Benbagr (112 pounds), Nick Bouvia (130 pounds) and Nick Jacobs (135 pounds) didn’t have to take the mat to earn their points. Elsewhere, Anthony Finocchiaro, at 125 pounds, pinned Joe Giacona midway through the second period, while Joe Senf (152 pounds) had his team’s quickest pin, taking just 1:12 to finish off Rocco DeFranco. Patrick Nasoni won at 171 pounds, pinning Matt Tehan 26 seconds into the third period. Anthony Rafkis (160 pounds) and Jacob Florack (215 pounds) also earned third-period falls — Rafkis over Kenny Currier, Florack over Matt Mattes. Antonio Peck came close to a technical fall at 140 pounds, but settled for a 14-0 shutout of Brandon Fromel, just as Kurt McArdell (145 pounds) blanked Neil Halpin 4-0.
