Mirbeau Inn & Spa has announced a new Christmas tradition, Mirbeau’s Joyeux No l — A French Country Christmas Open House to be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday Dec. 6. Artists Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs will be on hand to premiere and sign their new collection “Emprise.” Mirbeau Inn & Spa, located on Genesee Street in Skaneateles, is dressed up for the holiday season for all to enjoy with a beautiful French Country Christmas setting including a special hand-painted manger display created by local artist Skip Frost, a fun and fantastic Christmas tree beautifully decorated by Victoria MacKenzie-Childs, and a vintage, one of a kind Currier & Ives Christmas sleigh. “Mirbeau is beginning its celebration of the holiday season with all of the fun, excitement and special elegance of a French Country Open House,” said Linda Dower, owner Mirbeau Inn & Spa. “Mirbeau’s Joyeux No l is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.” The newly renovated Savor Restaurant offers guests a sumptuous, French Country inspired cuisine created with the freshest ingredients from the Finger Lakes Region — all prepared by executive chef John Russ. The chef’s selection for the daily prix-fixe menu, with special wine pairings, provides an inspired culinary journey. The new Wine Bar-Bistro offers a fun, self-serve wine tasting experience where guests can explore, taste and learn about new wines served at the perfect temperature and peak vintage. The option of a self-service card allows guests to serve their own wine selections (either a small taste, half glass or a full glass) with the simple touch of a button. The Wine Bar is warm and cozy and features a tapas style bistro menu that is perfect to enjoy in front of the fire place with a glass of wine as well as warm cider and hot chocolate for the kids.
