Shea Foster made sure that Canastota’s girls basketball team continued its regular-season unbeaten string. The Raiders beat Adirondack, 48-35, Tuesday night in a game that was close for a long while. The Wildcats matched baskets for much of the first half and only trailed by four, 26-22, going into the break. Gradually, Canastota’s defense wore Adirondack down on the defensive side. At the same time, Foster continued to shine, hitting on every kind of shot on her way to 26 points, with Alexis Havens (nine points) and Lindsay McGinley (six points) offering the help. Canastota’s boys basketball team visited Boonville last Tuesday night — and never really got started in a 58-33 loss to Adirondack. The Raiders suffered through a first-half offensive drought, only able to manage a handful of field goals as the Wildcats bolted out to a 29-10 lead and never let up. Andre Adkins led Adirondack with 24 points and 11 rebounds, as no Canastota player had more than five points on the night.
