Th3 is a coalition of 24 popular Syracuse visual arts venues that offer free events and viewing opportunities during the evening of the third Thursday of every month, from 5 to 8 p.m. Maps, bus schedule and Th3 show listings at all Th3 locations. Hop over to the Delavan to see the Pen and Ink Drawings by Brian Butler. Then browse the Everson’s world collection of ceramics. It’s the perfect time for a trip down The Erie Canal Museum on a life size replica of an authentic canal boat. Hear Collen Kattau and Caroline Kim’s rock those beats and Jenny Terrero’s book reading at Artrage. At each stop enter the Th3 drawing to win a $50 gift certificate to Scarab Body Arts Studio in Armory Square. The Power of Revolt: Grassroots of Resistance in Oaxaca a powerful exhibit of photographs from the Oaxaca, Mexico resistance movement combined with original political posters from art collectives that tell the story of Oaxacans who raised their voices in 2006 against the abuses of the state government. Th3 special event. Healing Art Passages: StoryCatchers from A Journey of Grace. An exhibit of a body of the spiritual, often playful paintings and prints that sybolically represent story moments of growth from Painter, Healing practitioner and Henna Artist Suzanne Masters. The artist will be demonstrating Henna Body Designs. Lucky participants may choose a design or have Suzanne intuitively draw one based on their energy. Wilson Cummer, Concrete & the Natural World. Fine arts photographer, explores the natural world that exists under concrete overpasses. He will exhibit these photographs on Th3 5-7pm under the Rt. 81 overpass across from Smith Restaurant Supply at the intersection of Erie Blvd. E. and South McBride St. Th3 is funded in part with funding from New York Assemblywoman Joan K. Christensen.
