Each of the Fayetteville-Manlius track and field teams found success in Wednesday’s meet against Central Square. On the girls end, the Hornets romped past the Red Hawks 102-39, while the F-M boys handled Central Square 90-51. Molly Levy and Jess Marini both won twice in individual girls events. Levy prevailed in the 100-meter dash (13.2 seconds) and 200-meter dash (28.0 seconds), while Marini ran 400 meters in 1:01.1 and ripped through the 400 hurdles in 1:05.6. In the distance-running events, Molly Malone nearly matched her lowest 800-meter time of the year, finishing in 2:18.8 as Courtney Chapman breezed to a 1,500-meter title (5:08.0) and added a 3,000-meter victory in 10:51.8. Malone, Marini, Heather Martin and Natalie Alibrandi combined to win the 4×400 relay (4:16.7) as Martin also helped Mackenzie Carter, Colleen Mulvihill and Meaghan Anklin take the 4×800 in 10:46.2. As Isabel Carapella took the 100-meter high hurdles (17.8 seconds), Martin took the long jump (15 feet 3 1/2 inches), with Erika Davin clearing 4 feet 10 inches in the high jump and Jhoville Pommells throwing the shot put 30 feet 1/4 inch. Levy, Kelly Muller, Sophia Sorrentino and Katelyn Gualtieri won the 4×100 relay in 53.9 seconds. Meanwhile, in the boys meet, John Cico won the mile in 4:47.0, also helping Alex Hatz, Joe Hartnett and Ben Sargrad take the 4×800 in 9:08.3. Hartnett had a top 800-meter time of 2:09.4 as Andrew Velieux won the 3,200-meter run in 10:32.8. In the sprints, Larry Tran took the 100-meter dash (11.8 seconds) as J.R. Sage won the 200 (24.3 seconds) and Gottsch Kramer won the 400-meter dash in 55.9 seconds. Mike Matonse needed 1:02.9 to prevail in the 400 hurdles as he also teamed with Harnett, Kramer and Jordan Foster to post a time of 3:49.8 in the 4×400 relay. Karl Thomson continued to dominate in the shot put, tossing it 43 feet 3 3/4 inches, while Tyler Rhinehart cleared 9 feet 6 inches to prevail in the pole vault.
