Town of Marcellus residents will vote today on the referendum to bring the current Town Hall up to code and the 21st Century with an estimated $3.2 million renovation. The project would update the existing Town Hall, a former bank, and add about 7,000 square feet of additional space. The current municipal building does not meet state codes. If the public passes the referendum, residents are expected to experience a $50 per year increase per $100,000 assessed value on town taxes. For more information, visit the town’s Web site at marcellusny.com.
Polls are open from noon to 8 p.m. at Marcellus Fire Department, 4242 Slate Hill Road.
