The Onondaga County Board of Elections stated Friday morning that a fifth village of Camillus resident, James A. Palumbo, filed a petition to run for village trustee. Palumbo joins Michael McBride, Michael Montero, Sharon Norcross and Tonya Wilson in the race.

Four residents of the village of Camillus have filed petitions with the Onondaga County Board of Elections for the trustee seat on the village board. Michael McBride, Michael Montero, Sharon Norcross and Tonya Wilson are running as candidates for village trustee. The last day to file petitions for nomination with the BOE was Tuesday, Feb. 10.
One trustee spot will be up for grabs in March, when Ed Norcross’ term expires, but a second seat is expected to open up if Deputy Mayor Kurt Brunger is appointed Mayor when current Mayor Tom Grant’s resignation becomes effective Feb. 18. Election day is Wednesday, March 18. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the village hall.
