Chittenango’s girls basketball team went home Monday night and got a rare chance to earn a one-sided win, crushing Fowler by a score of 56-19. From the time it opened 20-7, the Bears just kept rolling, allowing fewer points in each period as the night went on. By herself, Kayleigh Clark pulled off the rare feat of outscoring an opponent, getting 23 points, even making a 3-pointer. Amber Strickler and Maggie Kendrick each had nine points, with Katie Antelmi adding six points. Meanwhile, the Chittenango boys team visited Christian Brothers Academy and took a 65-41 loss to the Brothers. Two sustained runs defined this game. Chittenango fell behind, 19-7, in the first quarter, and while it recovered before halftime, CBA decided matters by going 19-8 in the third period. Mike Major had a strong night, with 15 points, while Brendan Galek and Andy Moth each finished with six points. No less than 12 CBA players got at least one field goal, with senior Mike Goodman (15 points) and Sean Wayne (10 points) leading the charge.
