Bishop’s Academy at Holy Family held the 7th Annual Irish Hooley Saturday Jan. 24 at the school in Fairmount, the biggest fundraiser of the year held by the school. Since the event’s inception in 2002, founder Linda Sheedy said the hooley has always sold out and has grown every year. Sheedy praised the sponsors and coordination committee for the success of the event. “Every year I come back and say, ‘wow’,” Sheedy said.
In addition to the silent auction, live music and Irish stepdancing, food and drink, this year the hooley incorporated more activities for kids, including a magician and alphabet auction. For the full story and more photos, see The Advocate.
