Baldwinsville officials adopted a proposed local law that set water tap and inspection fees at $344 and sewer tap and inspection fees at $51. The new fees will affect developers building within the village limits that want to connect to the village water and sewer systems. According to officials, the fees are fair and reasonable as they are the actual cost. Officials included a measure that allows the fees to be adjusted with a resolution should the actual cost change. Paper Mill Island reserve fund
Trustee Richard Presley suggested creating a capital reserve fund for the 10-year-old Paper Mill Island. This year, the property was 40 percent over budget. Presley suggested putting the additional revenue into a fund to pay for any future repairs. The project initially cost $250,000 to build and by building a reserve now, the village could prepare for any future repair costs. VB pursues SMTC assistance
