The developers of the proposed Victory Sports Medicine complex should take a look at Joanie Mahoney's Sustainable Development Plan. In this visionary document she encourages us to look at the bigger picture and take a county-wide approach to development that "infills" places that have already been developed once. If this is the right time for the VSM complex, then we can hope the facility will be sited in the right place so it will not generate a need to expand government infrastructure at a time when Onondaga County's population is not growing. There is a time and a place for everything.
I support my friend and neighbor Rob Coville for the Town Board in the Town of Skaneateles. Rob is a retired Navy Veteran who choose to continue to serve his country as a police officer. To better support his family he owned a t-shirt shop and arcade and horse farm, all while he worked for camillus Police Department. He then became an Onondaga County Sheriff and worked his way up to a detective.
When he was detective he got injured in a bank robbery. He now has two damaged vertebrae. Doctors said he is lucky he is still walking and should go home. Instead he went to Lemoyne earned his bachelor's then SU for his doctoral degree in law. While earning those degrees he supported his family as a coach and scout leader. He never wavered from his responsibility to his family. He is a life long resident to the finger lakes area with a family going back in Skaneateles to his great great great grandfather who was one of the first blacksmiths.
Rob's character, credentials and work ethic make him the best qualified candidate.
