    THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
    * PORTIONS OF NORTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...EAST
    CENTRAL NEW YORK AND SOUTHERN VERMONT...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
    AREAS...IN NORTHWESTERN CONNECTICUT...NORTHERN LITCHFIELD AND
    SOUTHERN LITCHFIELD. IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS... NORTHERN
    BERKSHIRE AND SOUTHERN BERKSHIRE. IN EAST CENTRAL NEW
    YORK...HAMILTON...MONTGOMERY...NORTHERN FULTON...NORTHERN
    HERKIMER...SCHOHARIE...SOUTHERN FULTON...SOUTHERN HERKIMER...
    WESTERN ALBANY...WESTERN GREENE...WESTERN SCHENECTADY AND
    WESTERN ULSTER. IN SOUTHERN VERMONT...BENNINGTON AND WESTERN
    WINDHAM.
    * THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING
    * A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT WILL BRING SOME MODERATE TO HEAVY
    RAINFALL TO THE REGION TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING. THERE IS A
    SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE HEAVIER RAIN BANDS
    TONIGHT. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WILL
    POTENTIALLY OCCUR OVER THE WATCH AREA WITH LOWER HIGHER AMOUNTS.
    * IF THE HEAVY RAIN OCCURS THEN SOME MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE
    ALONG THE MOHAWK RIVER...WEST CANADA CREEK...THE SCHOHARIE
    CREEK...WALLOOMSAC RIVER...AND THE HOOSIC RIVER. ALSO PONDING OF
    WATER ON ROADWAYS...AND FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AND LOW LYING
    AREAS IS POSSIBLE. AN ISOLATED FLASH FLOOD ALSO CAN NOT BE RULED
    OUT AT THIS TIME.

    FULTON... SOUTHERN HERKIMER...SOUTHERN SARATOGA...SOUTHERN
    WASHINGTON AND WESTERN RENSSELAER. IN SOUTHERN VERMONT...
    BENNINGTON... EASTERN WINDHAM AND WESTERN WINDHAM.
    * THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING
    * RUNOFF FROM SNOW MELT CAUSED BY WARM TEMPERATURES THIS PAST
    WEEKEND HAS SWELLED MANY RIVERS IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA TO THREE
    QUARTERS BANKFULL OR MORE. THE SNOW MELT WILL END THIS EVENING
    AS TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING. HOWEVER...HEAVY RAINFALL OF
    A HALF INCH TO AN INCH AND A HALF IN THE PAST 24 HOURS HAS ADDED
    TO RUNOFF INTO MANY AREA RIVERS. THIS HAS RESULTED IN FLOOD
    WARNINGS FOR PARTS OF THE WESTERN MOHAWK VALLEY AND SOUTHERN
    ADIRONDACKS.
    * THE ADDITIONAL RUNOFF FROM SNOW MELT AND THE HEAVY RAIN COULD
    RESULT IN ADDIITONAL MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING ACROSS THE
    FLOOD WATCH AREA THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.
