    THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
    * COLUMBIA...DUCTHESS...GREENE...ULSTER...LICTHFIELD...BERKSHIRE...
    BENNINGTON AND WINDHAM COUNTIES.
    * THROUGH LATE TONIGHT
    * SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA AHEAD OF A
    SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT. WITH A WARM AND VERY HUMID AIR MASS IN
    PLACE THE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALLY VERY HEAVY
    RAINFALL. RAINFALL TOTALS OF ONE AND A HALF TO 3 INCHES ARE
    EXPECTED...WITH RAINFALL RATES EXCEEDING AN INCH AN HOUR
    POSSIBLE. THE POTENTIAL HEAVY RAINFALL COMBINED WITH THE WET TO
    NEARLY SATURATED GROUND HAS SET THE STAGE FOR THE POSSIBILITY FOR
    FLASH FLOODING ACROSS THE WATCH AREA.
    * THE MAIN IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE FLOODING OF URBANIZED AS
    WELL AS LOW LYING AREAS...ROADWAYS...AND IN AREAS OF POOR
    DRAINAGE. IN ADDITION...SMALL STREAMS...CREEKS OR RIVERS MAY
    EXCEED BANKFULL.

    LITCHFIELD COUNTY AND SOUTHERN VERMONT.
    * THROUGH TONIGHT.
    * THE COMBINATION OF A WARM AND VERY HUMID AIRMASS IN PLACE AND A
    COLD FRONT APPROACHING THE AREA IS RESULTING IN SHOWERS AND
    THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN. RAINFALL RATES IN EXCESS OF
    2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE AND WOULD RESULT IN URBAN...POOR
    DRAINAGE... AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING. THERE IS CONCERN THAT
    STORMS MAY MOVE OVER AREAS THAT HAVE RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL
    ALREADY RESULTING IN LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING.
