Baldwinsville senior running back Tyler Rouse, seen here in the Section III Class AA semifinal against Fayetteville-Manlius, was chosen the Gatorade New York State Player of the Year after a season where he gained 2,977 yards and scored 45 touchdowns. Rouse is the first Section III player honored with this award since Onondaga’s Latavius Murray in 2007.

Rouse garners State Player of the Year honor

B'ville runner first Section III honoree since 2007

Now the post-season accolades begin to pour in for Baldwinsville football standout Tyler Rouse. The senior running back, who led the Bees to the Section III Class AA final this fall, was just named the Gatorade Player of the Year in New York State, the first Section III player selected for that high honor in six years.
