Village of North Syracuse passes budget 4-1

The North Syracuse village board passed a $4.6 million budget on Thursday, April 12 by a margin of four to one. The new budget, which covers the fiscal year running from June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013, calls for a 1.4 percent increase in property taxes for residents. The tax increase comes down to about $10 on a $75,000 house, according to Mayor Mark Atkinson.
