Margaret E. Sholette, 93, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Sunnyside Care Center. Margaret grew up in Seneca Falls, N.Y., with her sister and four brothers. She spent 56 years of her adult life living on Roosevelt Avenue in Liverpool. There, she and Lee raised their daughter, Mary. They later opened up their home to their two grandsons, Art and Brian. She was a weekly parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Margaret loved to garden, including her special rock garden in the backyard. She kept her home and garden meticulous. She also had a lifelong love of dogs. Sam and Molly were special dogs to her. Margaret also let nothing get in the way of getting her hair done every week. She always had a clear sense of right and wrong. She also had great empathy for those who needed assistance in life. She instilled these values in her family by setting the right example. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Leo Edgar Sholette in 2012.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary (Jerald) Williamson of Fayetteville, NY; grandsons, Brian (Julie) Cuneo of Saratoga Springs, NY; Arthur (Yonette) Cuneo of Chesapeake, VA; five great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Claire, Paul, Ella and Hannah. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Sunnyside Adult Home in East Syracuse.
