Pearl (Dye) O’Hara, 90, of Skaneateles Falls, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, surrounded by family, in her home. Pearl was an amazingly strong woman whose positive outlook could not be shaken. She was a member of the St. Mary’s of the Lake Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Skaneateles Falls American Legion, Post 317. Pearl was an adventurous spirit, who loved to travel with family and friends. She was passionate about donating her time to many charitable organizations.
Pearl retired, after 18 years, from Hutchings Psychiatric Center. Pearl is predeceased by husband, James E. O’Hara, mother Luretta Dye, father Isaac Dye, brother Lawrence, son Joseph F., daughter Mary Elizabeth, and son David. She is survived by son, William O’Hara (Wendy Jones), daughters, Katherine (Thomas) Sennes, Margaret Phillips, Annemarie, and Elizabeth (Joseph) Ryan, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Skaneateles, with a funeral mass celebrated. Calling hours: 4-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at Robert D.
