Anne W. Platt (Widas) of Fayetteville died on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013. She was born in Trenton, NJ and was raised in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. After a short nursing career in Albany, she married Carl K. Platt and moved to Syracuse, where they owned and operated several apartments including Limestone Manor and Willowbrook Apartments in Manlius from 1965 to 1995. She enjoyed lunching at the senior centers in Fayetteville and Manlius for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed talking to relatives and friends on the phone, one of which was a nurse that she knew since the age of 18.
Surviving family include: Son: Gregory Platt and wife Linda Platt. Grandsons: Steven Platt (Georgia) of Maryland and Jonathan Platt of Ohio. Great Grandsons: Tony, Jared, and a baby on the way (Maryland) and Nathan (Ohio). Brother: Robert Widas (Jane) of Hyde Park, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Carl K. Platt in 1999, brothers: George and Charles Widas, sisters: Susan Widas and Mildred Melher.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius, with committal following at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt. There will be no calling hours.
