Linda Ann Mantia, beloved wife, mother and sister, 69, of North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. She was daughter of the late John and Gertrude Wilhelm Kohutanich. Linda was born in Syracuse.
Together, with her husband, Robert, she traveled the world and lived in Germany where the couple welcomed their daughter. She had a passion for adventure and seeing new sights but always remained close to those around her and kept up her friendships through all the years.
Linda worked for Provident Mutual Life Insurance as secretary from 1964-1986, as an office manager for Allied Electric from 1986-1996 and most recently as office administrator for Central City Bodies of the Scottish Rite in North Syracuse.
Linda was a long time member of First English Lutheran Church and of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her retirement in Syracuse where she was surrounded by family, including her brother, Ronald and her sister, Sharon Hunter who predeceased her in 1997.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Robert T. Mantia; daughter, Danielle A. Mantia, of Portland Oregon; brother, Ronald (Maryanne) Kohutanich, of Baldwinsville.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 210 Hazel St., Liverpool. Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main St., North Syracuse.
