Nancy L. (Gross) Lynn, 88, of Baldwinsville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Syracuse Home Association. She was born in Otto, TX and resided in Temple, TX where she was raised and educated. In 1945, along with her husband, Nancy came to the Syracuse area where she has since resided. Being a licensed beautician, she always made sure that her hair was styled and her nails were perfect. Nancy’s true talent was her cooking. She worked as a cook for Most Holy Rosary Church and St. Cecelia’s Church providing many delicious meals to clergy and staff. She was a member of St. Lucy’s Guild and was very active in day to day parish activities where she would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She is predeceased by her husband, William J. Lynn in 1992.
Surviving to cherish her memory are a son, William G. (Anne) Lynn of Baldwinsville, daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Stephen) Pollock of Tallahassee, FL, sister, Mary Ethridge of TX, five beloved grandchildren; Karen, Julie, Brianne, Ryan, Erin, and two great-grandchildren; Brayden and Emily. Also surviving are a nephew and two nieces.
Calling hour: from 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, followed by a prayer service at 10 a.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Mass of Christian burial: 10:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 Route 31, Baldwinsville, with the rite of committal and burial following in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
