Donald J. “Don” Plouffe, 86, of Clay, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. He was born on Nov. 2, 1927, in Syracuse, son of Joseph and Marion (Ennis) Plouffe. He retired from Lipe Rollway after 40 years of employment. Don was an avid reader of local history and enjoyed the outdoors. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn (Clark) in 1995, sons: Steven in 2012, John Plouffe in 2013.
Surviving are his children: Robert (Judy) Plouffe, Jeanne (Joe) Trinca, Richard Plouffe, Anne (Steven) Graf, Mary Jo (Patrick) McAskill, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother, Raymond (MaryJane) Plouffe and sister, Mildred Spinelli.
Calling hours: 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Funeral mass: 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Baldwinsville. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Contributions to Hospice of CNY.
