Timothy Kittell, 71, of Camillus, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, peacefully at home with his loving wife at his side. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a Navy veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Tim retired in 2002 after more than 25 years as an electrician with New Process Gear. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the United Auto Workers. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed SU sports.
Timothy was predeceased by his brother, Brian Kittell, in 2011.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Nata Ilacqua; sons, David (Chrissie) of Syracuse, and Timothy (Cheryl) and Todd (Jennifer), both of Camillus; brother, Mark Kittell of Central Square; granddaughters, Madisyn, Mackenzie, Nicolette, Annalyse, Adrianna, Rachel and Allison Kittell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in St. Joseph's Church with Rev. David James officiating. Timothy was laid to rest in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New York, 1595 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
