Carol Lau, 91, of Camillus, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at home with family by her side. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Camillus High School and CCBI, was a lifelong member of the Camillus Baptist Church, directed the adult choir for many years and, at the time of her passing, was the oldest living member of the church. She was the founding member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Camillus. Carol and her family also fostered many children through Child and Family Services. Carol was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William, in 1998.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen (Robert) Perrone of Farmington, Kristy Neuser and Shelley Lau-House of Camillus; a brother, Richard Brooks of Doylestown, PA; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Barb) Robinson, Tim (Delores) Robinson, Jennifer (Kevin) Gallivan, Tony (Julie) Neuser, Jim (Jennifer) Russo, Cara Castagna and William Castagna; 16 great-grandchildren; and Diana Farnham whom she also considered a daughter.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Camillus Baptist Church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. Arrangements by B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, 10 Genesee St., Camillus.
