Paul F. Dudley, 63 of Syracuse, passed away from cancer on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the town of Clay. He attended Liverpool High School and had resided in Syracuse. Paul was a master mechanic of autos, but his focus of expertise was working on hydraulics and construction equipment. He enjoyed the Oswego Speedway, NASCAR racing, and his faithful dog Taz.
He is predeceased by his parents, Willard and Ruth Dudley, four brothers; Thomas, Bernard, William, David and a sister Beverly Tietz.
He is survived by his daughter, Claire (Charlie) Butterworth, two beautiful granddaughters, Willow and Chloe all of Culver City, CA, three brothers, Richard of Liverpool, John (Dorothea) of Henderson Harbor, Peter (Louise) of Erieville, N.Y., three sisters; Patricia Mattice of Syracuse, Joanne (John) Donohue of Clermont, FL, Barbara Brand Tomi of Webster, N.Y., a sister-in-law, Lucy Chapel of Baldwinsville, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
