Thomas P. Drumm

Thomas P. Drumm, 69, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Tom was born and raised in Syracuse and resided on Malden Road in Mattydale since 1971. He was the son of the late Erwin and Helen (Dymek) Drumm.
Tom served with the U.S. Army Reserves and was activated during the Vietnam War as a medic. He retired in 2003 after 27 years being the owner and operator of T.P. Drumm Corporation. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years as the manager of Meltzer's Auto Supply in North Syracuse. He was a member of the CNY Street Rod Association and an avid classic car and model train enthusiast. Tom was a parishioner of St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, the former Carol Dranschak, in 1998.
Thomas is survived by his two children: Kristin (Marvin) Pyer of Mattydale, and Thomas (Connie Downing) Drumm of Syracuse; three siblings: Erwin "Duke" (Joanne) of Syracuse, Kathy (Paul) Solomon of Manlius, and John (Mary Beth) of Baldwinsville; by his two grandsons: Preston Pyer and Quinton Drumm; and by several nieces and nephews.
