David W. Dudley, 74 of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Syracuse, attended Liverpool High School and has resided in Baldwinsville for the past 34 years. David was a proud U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 60 in Syracuse for 50 years and formerly employed by Universal Joint Sales. Dave was a man of great wisdom; he was true to his beliefs and did not wavier from expressing his opinions openly. He was very devoted and loyal to his family and friends. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, golfing and his faithful schnauzer, Hoosier. He is predeceased by his parents, Willard and Ruth Dudley, three brothers; Thomas, Bernard, William, and his sister Beverly Tietz.
Surviving is his beloved companion of 34 years, Lucy Chapel; daughter, Lisa Jones and Dan Keyes, a grandson Richard Haist all of Minetto, four brothers; Richard of Liverpool, John (Dorothea) of Henderson Harbor, Peter (Louise) of Erieville and Paul of Syracuse, three sisters; Patricia Mattice of Syracuse, Joanne (John) Donohue of Clermont, FL; Barbara Brand Tomi of Webster, NY, his daughter Janice and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery in Baldwinsville.
