Donald G. Beauchamp

Donald G. Beauchamp, 91, formerly of Fairmount, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Trumbull, Connecticut. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a graduate of Vocational High School and an Army veteran of WWII.
Donald was a long-term employee with Joseph Cashier Co., retiring in 1980. He was a charter member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and also a member of the Fairmont Fire Department, where he served as chief from 1961 to 1963. Active in the Boy Scouts, he was the first scout leader for Troop 176 and also enjoyed camping, boating, and model railroading.
Donald was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Joyce Pilger, on April 18, 2008.
Surviving are his sons, Jerry (Linda) of Shelton, CT and Neal (Rebecca) of Syracuse; grandchildren, Tom (Megan) Beauchamp of Scotia, Ashley Beauchamp of Syracuse, Amy (Steven) Alfano of Stratford, CT, Nicole Santorelli of Apex, NC, and Sean Conway of Syracuse; great-grandchildren, Grace and Paige Beauchamp, Anthony, Christopher and Matthew Alfano; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, in St. Michael's Lutheran Church with Rev. Janet Fechner officiating. Donald was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
