Dorothy (“Dottie”) Jean Tuohy, 79, of Ocala, Fla., passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, as a result of a massive heart attack.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph O. Tuohy; children, James (Rena) Tuohy of Williamsville, Jean M. Tuohy of Chicago, Ill., Irene Shea (Fred) Palmer of New Woodstock, N.Y., Kathleen (Eric) Peterson of Leawood, Kan., and Sarah (John) Teague of Centreville, Va.; grandchildren, Robert Tuohy, Christine Tuohy Hallings, Patrick Baker, Fred Palmer IV, Elizabeth Palmer, Margaret Peterson, Eric (Pete) Peterson, Kate Peterson and Hannah Peterson; sisters, Ann Mickalonis and Jane Pratuch. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas F. O’Brien; brother, Henry George Kaiser; and son, Robert J. Tuohy.
Dottie was a communicant of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She lived at the On Top of the World community and was a former resident of Cazenovia. Dottie retired in March 2012 after many years as a successful real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Ellison Realty, receiving several awards over the course of her career.
Memorial Mass: 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, at Saint James Catholic Church, 6 Green St., Cazenovia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
