Carolyn M. “Dot” Kimber, 78, of Manlius, passed away June 10, 2013, peacefully after a long illness. Carolyn graduated from Cathedral Academy in Syracuse and was a Navy veteran. She was a 55-year member of the Manlius Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 42 year member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 141 and an avid Bunco player.
The family thanks the staff of James Square Health & Rehabilitation Center for the exceptionally loving and skilled care they provided to Carolyn. They also thank Empire DM, Inc. for their compassionate care and support they provided in transporting Carolyn to her appointments.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Kimber; her children, Karen Stearns of Rome, Diane (Scott) Wilson of Pompey and Michael (Stephanie) Kimber of Manlius; sister, Margaret (Malcolm) Davison of Cazenovia; brother, David Myers of Bridgeport; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Wilcox.
