James J. Hurley

James J. Hurley, 54, formerly of Mattydale, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital. James resided most of his life in Mattydale and attended St. Margaret's and Bishop Grimes before graduating from North Syracuse High in 1977. He was the son of the late William J. and Helen E. Hurley.
James worked as a crane operator for JPW Rigging in Syracuse. He was a member of the IUOE Local No. 158 and attended St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a brother, John Hurley, in 2000.
James is survived by two sisters: Patricia (Peter) Bridge of Longmont, CO, Susan (Bob) Joyner of Liverpool; a brother, William (Barbara) Hurley of Central Square; and four nieces and nephews: Terry, William "Ripper", Jeff and Lisa.

Mass of Christian burial: 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, at St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale.
