Judy Marie Maihofer, 73, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2012 at the Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Fla., following an extended illness. She was born September 24, 1939 in Minetto, NY, the daughter of the late David and Katherine Fry.
She was a graduate of SUNY Oswego and Columbia University Teacher’s College. She taught in the Peekskill and Ossining school districts and for the Southern Westchester BOCES. Judy will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Walter; son Jason (Evelyn) of Scottsville, NY; daughter Theresa of White Plains, NY; two special grandsons Ian Andrew and Colin Stewart of Scottsville; sisters Sally Ann Cronk of Oswego and Nan (Jim) Milden of Baldwinsville; brother Richard (Connie) Fry of Brunswick, Georgia; and many loving nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorial service: noon on Jan. 26 at the Gates Funeral Home, Inc., 29 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville, the Rev. Jeff Wallace presiding, and is preceded by calling hours from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Following is a gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Johnson.
