Deborah F. McCloat, 60, of Mattydale, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, with her loving family by her side. Debbie grew up in North Syracuse where she graduated from Cicero High School in 1970. She resided in Mattydale for over 30 years and was the daughter of the late Bernard B. and Mary Ann (March) Bliss.
Debbie retired after 25 years as a cook manager with the North Syracuse Central School District. She bowled for many years and was a member of the Florence Donovan Memorial Women's Bowling League. Debbie was the past Treasurer of Save Hyde Lake Association, a member of the CSEA, and volunteered her time at the SPCA which she always enjoyed.
Debbie was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Thomas M. McCloat, in 2005.
Surviving are their six children: Douglas (Robin Nelson) McCloat of Constantia, T. Michael McCloat II of Syracuse, Kimberly (Paul) Labozzetta of Mattydale, Robert (Kara) McCloat of Yorktown Heights, Teresa (Roger) Tibbetts of Fulton, and Hope (Joseph Chipperfield) McCloat of Mattydale; her three siblings: Bradley (Wanda) Bliss of North Syracuse, Dorene Bliss McCann of Mattydale, and Walter (Linda) Bliss of Liverpool; 14 grandchildren: Angelic, Crystal, Matthew, Shelby, Zachary, Thomas III, Abbrianna, Valerie, Kate, Danielle, Ava, Conor, Faith, and Charity; her four great grandchildren: Laryssa, Neveah, Keith, and Carley; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her faithful canine companion, Joker.

Calling hours: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the funeral home followed by burial in North Syracuse Cemetery.
