Suzanne R. McCall, 80, of Liverpool, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at home. She was born in Syracuse. Suzanne was predeceased by her husband James in 2006 and is survived by her children, Thomas (Lisa) McCall of Washington, NJ, Lori McCall of Liverpool, Jan Marie (Bob) McCall Pederson of Ingleside, IL and Daniel (Kimberly) McCall of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
After graduation from Cazenovia High School she attended Wheelock College, Boston, Mass., graduating in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Suzanne was a very compassionate, caring individual whose life focused on helping others. She worked as a preschool teacher for many years and was an aide for the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New York.
Suzanne enjoyed spending summertime with her family on Grindstone Island, St. Lawrence River. She volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout Brownie troop leader and camp counselor. She was also a member of the Home Again Pet Rescue service. Her hobbies included knitting, crochet, gardening and astronomy. She had a positive influence on the lives she touched and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family is planning a private service for the springtime. Arrangements by R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel of Schepp Family Funeral Homes.
