Marjorie B. Edson, 105, of Skaneateles, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at her home. Born in Clinton, she was the last surviving of nine children to John and Mary Burns and was predeceased by her husband George Edson in 1993. She was a graduate of Oswego Normal School and had been a teacher in the Clinton School District and retired from Marcellus Central School in 1967. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Skaneateles, a member of the Legion of Mary, the New York State Retired Teacher’s Association and the Skaneateles Historical Society.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Garrett (Marilyn) Wiggers of Skaneateles and Kathleen (John) Norman of Elbridge, several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass: Monday, Feb. 25, in St. Mary’s of the Lake Church. Burial: in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton. Contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Human Development Fund.
