Philip H. Stevens

Philip H. Stevens, 89, of Skaneateles died Monday Jan. 28, 2013. Born in Groton, he served in the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division in WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. A 1951 graduate of Syracuse University, with a degree in industrial design, Phil practiced industrial design in Central New York for over five decades. He was president of Philip Stevens Associates in Skaneateles and was named a Fellow of IDSA, the highest honor the association bestows. He was in the National Ski Patrol for over 35 years and a Rotarian. He was predeceased by his daughter Alison (John Macy) in 2012. Surviving are his wife Margueritte Craig Stevens, his son Andrew (Angela) Stevens of Homer and a granddaughter Erica Stevens.
Services: Saturday, Feb. 2 at Grace Chapel, Skaneateles. Burial will be in Groton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Every Child Initiative, C/O of Missio Church 620 W.
