Benjamin C. Reason, 22, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. Born in Syracuse, Ben graduated with honors in 2009 from Liverpool High School and played both basketball and football. He was currently working to obtain his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland. Ben enjoyed traveling and was well known in the Cortland area. He always had a smile on his face, touched many lives, and continued giving after his passing as he was a bone and tissue donor. Ben lived life large.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, John (Sue) Reason of Liverpool; sister, Rebecca (Jim) Rose of Baldwinsville; his brothers, Robert and Tyler Reason, both of Liverpool; niece, Kaelyn Rose; nephew, Connor Rose; maternal grandfather, Robert Tyldesley of Watertown; aunts and uncles, Laurie Beth (Matt) Pestle; David Tyldesley; Todd (Teresa) Tyldesley; Craig (Jean) Reason; Candice (Jerry) Henlyshyn; and several cousins.
Funeral services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery. Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at the funeral home, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville.
