Chester "Chet" C. Kozlowski, 92, longtime resident of North Syracuse, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Crouse Hospital. Chet was born in Syracuse and resided in Mattydale for 70 years before moving to North Syracuse in 1994. He was the last surviving child born to the late Stanley Kozlowski and Eva Ustinanski.
Chet served the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired in 1983 after 43 years as a receiving clerk at Syracuse China Corp. Chet was a member of the American Legion 1832 in Mattydale, the Knights of Columbus Council 3717 in North Syracuse, and of the D.A.V. Chapter 8 in Syracuse. He was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
Chet was predeceased by his siblings: Julia Smith, Virginia LaRonde, John, Frank, Anthony, William and Edward Kozlowski.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, the former Helen (Stetes); their daughter: Rosemary Black of Irvine, CA; and two grandchildren, Laura and Benjamin Black.

Calling hours: 10 - 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer services: 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
