Edwin Mitchell Arthur (“Doc”), of Bonney Lake, Wash., the son of Gilbert Veall and Ellen Dorothea Arthur, died Dec. 16 2013.
He lived in Skaneateles until he entered the U.S. Navy in 1942. He worked as a teenager on the Stinson's mailboat and in the summer of '42 owned and operated a mailboat “The Chips” with his mother. He is survived by a grandson Anthony Arthur and great-grandaughter Amber; his sisters Audrey Saviers, Dotty Hickey, Jean Connelley, and Nancy Hoskins; and a brother Gilbert Arthur. He was pre-deceased by his wife Lillian and sons Gilbert and Mitchell.
He was laid to rest in Puyallup, WA.
