Ann Czebiniak Finch, 92, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Crouse Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised on a strawberry farm in Parish, she lived in the Syracuse area since 1940. Her work ethic and love of gardening continued throughout her life.
As a young woman, Ann worked at the L.C. Smith Co. where she met Ray Finch. They married in 1947 and had two sons. When her family was raised, she became interested in furniture refinishing and eventually became a vendor at the Regional Flea Market. Throughout her life, Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, which included her five siblings, many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she loved her vegetable and flower gardens, playing cards, dancing on Friday nights, and her cat.
Ann was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Ray in 2006; sisters, Alice and Helen; brothers, Michael and Walter; and daughter-in-law, Kim Finch.
Surviving are her sons, Bill (Nancy) and Gary (Candace), both of Syracuse; grandchildren, Sarah (Tom) Hayes, Laurel, Paul, Nathaniel, Rebecca, Graham, Amy and Ian Finch; sister, Grace Ripka of East Syracuse; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends called from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services followed at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Nick Alvaro officiating. Ann was laid to rest in Belle Isle Cemetery, Warners.
