Frank P. Tokarz, 99, of Skaneateles died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. Born in Auburn, a weaver, he had retired from Nye-Wait in Auburn and Skaneateles Central School. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Skaneateles, a life member of the Skaneateles Volunteer Fire Dept., a member of S.O.S and for 35 years with RSVP in Auburn.
He received a silver and two gold medals at the New York state Senior Games and made a special rug for President Lyndon Johnson.
Surviving are his wife of 76 years, Veronica, a daughter Nancy M. Tokarz, of Auburn, a son Daniel F. (Lillian) Tokarz of Syracuse, , 2 grandsons Paul of Syracuse, and David of Phoenix, great-grandchildren, Brooke Tokarz and Morgan O’Tier and a sister Mary Brier. He was predeceased by brothers Walter, Steve, John, Joe and Louis.
Funeral mass was held in St. Mary’s of the Lake Church. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Skaneateles. Calling hours were held at the Skaneateles Volunteer Fire Dept. 77 W. Genesee St. Skaneateles.
