Michael J. Adams, 65, of Syracuse, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, in the VA Medical Center following a brief illness. Born in Syracuse, Mike lived in Skaneateles Falls for a time. He retired in May from Express Tire and formerly he worked at New Process Gear. Mike served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and he received the Viet Nam Service Medal with two bronze stars, the Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon (third award).
Surviving are his wife Lucille, three sons John of Va, Jason of Wis, and Steven of Syracuse, a daughter Michele Sanders of UT, a brother Steven Adams of Fla, a sister Karen Justian of Mottville, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick’s Church, Jordan. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4-7pm Friday at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St., Elbridge. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior project.
